The Booty Call
I have a big issue with booty calls. For those who are not in the know, the term “booty call” means that you only call this person because you have a casual agreement that the two of you will only engage in a…physical relationship whenever convenient. This is normally done after the person has gone out, tried his or her luck, failed and then decides to call the back-up: the booty call. I have been the target of this unromantic and lazy excuse for a date many times. There is only one answer: “No.” The person calling up his/her booty only wants them for a limited period of time. They will satisfy their lust and leave which leaves you looking like a fool. I believe that your love is definitely not for rent. A person cannot decide when or where he or she is ready to be with you because that means you are a slave to their schedule and a product of their own selfish desires. Booty calls demean people and relationships where there is simply no engagement between two people. Not only this, but it blocks you off from interacting with people who actually want to get to know you whenever you are ready and not at one in the morning because they have no one else. Release yourselves from booty calls because they really are beneath you.
