Paparazzi Purge

There is no need to become a celebrity these days. People pore over Facebook photos from the night before the same way my grandma goes crazy over Heat magazine. Your face is all over your mates’ albums and even in albums that belong to people you have never met before. There is nothing wrong with taking pictures of you and your friends at the beach or having fun at Rat but it has become an epidemic. Friends with digital cameras have become the paparazzi. I have no qualms in posing for a few photos but when I’m snapped unawares looking like a mauled deer in the headlights, then I have a problem. I often log onto Facebook and I am surprised at how many photos I am tagged in from the night before (Facebook enthusiasts run riot in this town and need to upload ASAP). Most have half my face in them or I am in the background. The others have me looking like a poor version of Kelly Osbourne with very unappealing facial expressions. It is a wonder I even show my face out these days. After recovering from the horror, I normally proceed in untagging myself from these pictures. Sometimes I wonder about my paparazzi friends. Do they think I look acceptable in these pictures? They’re madder than I thought.
